Festival love

Posted by Admin

There is no secret that I love music. I absolutely love music and I always have. I am constantly on the search for new music to fall in love with. I have satellite radio in my car and I think that has really broadened my spectrum of music over the years. I am always downloading new music or playing old favorites. I love playing music while getting ready or cooking dinner. It is a big part of my life. With that being said, I have been to many shows over the past year. For example: Imagine Dragons, Elton John, Journey, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kendrick Lamar, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, The Goo Goo Dolls, The Neighbourhood, Weezer, and Young the Giant to just name a few.

I love music festivals as well. I have considered going to Bonnaroo over the past few years but I have never had the right time to go (either due to work or no close friends going). My best friend went by herself this year and I am oh so jealous! She had so much fun and saw some amazing bands. I was lucky enough to attend the Music Midtown festival in Atlanta last year and had a blast. Of course I HAD to buy tickets for this year. I mean - have you seen this lineup?! AH-MAZING!

I purchased a two day ticket as soon as I could - I honestly cannot wait. The lineup is perfect this year! Plus the festival is so much fun. Last year it rained the whole second day (I was soaked for 12 hours) but it was so worth it. I hope this year is just as fun. Any other bloggers heading to Music Midtown this year? I would love to meet up!

It's almost summer

How is it May already? I feel like this year is flying by and of course this month is so full of events and big life changes (hello, Birmingham!) that I find it crazy how I can keep it all straight. Another thing that keeps flying by? The weekend. I had such a fun but busy weekend! Here is just a taste of things that have been going on lately. Loved the flowers I bought my mom for mothers day. So bright and cheery! Forgetting to take a picture with my mom on mothers day? #fail. A new restaurant called Beast + Barrel opened up on the North Shore in Chattanooga. I got the Texas Mule and it was ahhhhhmazing. Fun fact: my new favorite drink is a moscow mule. I loved that this one came in a copper mug. I am on the hunt for a set of 4 copper mugs for my bar cart!

Obsessed with my new Coach flats I scored on sale at Belk a few weeks ago. They are so incredibly light and soft. Not to mention the fawn and coral colors look perfect together for summer. My grandmother so graciously gifted me with this gorgeous new lilly pulitzer dress. I am so inlove with the lobstah roll print! I want it in everything. I have my eye on the jellies be jammin print next. I cannot wait to style this dress all summer long. What can I say, I am in love with this guy right here. I am so lucky to have him in my life. He is always there for me no matter what. He never fails to cheer me up or just make me smile for no reason at all.

Sean and I went to the 2nd annual craft brewers festival over the weekend and had such a wonderful time. There were so so many people and so many brews to try - it was the perfect Saturday! A PB and S float. At the #CCBF a brewery called Turtle Anarchy had a float concoction of their peanut butter stout plus a scoop of vanilla gelato from Whole Foods. I may or may not have had three of these delicious babies!

Just because it's too funny to not share... my boyfriends brother snapped this picture of me the other day after a starbucks run. We have an ongoing inside joke about me wanting starbucks pretty much all the time. In my defense, that mocha cookie crumble frappuchino during happy hour is just too good to be true!

So what's been up lately...

I figured I should do a little insta-update on life lately! We are counting down the days until we move to Birmingham and trying to get everything in order for that. I have been spending more time at home lately (for the first time in a few weeks!) before we do a little more travelling. My boyfriend recently got inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society... I am so incredibly proud of him and his hard work! I was so happy when he asked me to attend the ceremony with him.

We got to spend a beautiful morning on Mud Island in Memphis while we were there... such a cute little community over there! I love looking at all the cute houses. It was such a change from just a few weeks when I came up in March. Everything looked amazing in all the springtime green.

Last weekend we visited the National Cornbread Festival in South Pittsburg, TN which is about 45 minutes away from Chattanooga. It was a beautiful day - very hot and of course I got sunburned. Cornbread salad a la the Cornbread Festival. It might look a little gross, but it was so good and I look forward to it each year. The line for this was soo long but it was worth it. This handsome guy and I did the walk for Cystic Fibrosis last weekend and it was so much fun. His brother has CF so it's a cause close to our hearts. A local group that was sponsoring the walk.
